Swedish Match had a problem: They had just released snus to the US market. The problem was that no American really knew what to do with snus, what snus was and its effects. So an agency approached me to write and direct a series of web films that the entire web project would be based around. I created ‘snusmannen’ or the snus guy to guide the visitor to the website around. He would teach people how to use snus and what it is. It was an immediate success and featured on FWA ‘best of the web’ and pushed snus into the minds of the Americans. 60 minutes had also just featured snus on their program the week the site launched.
